India's leading telecom network providers Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, have established 5G trials sites in these cities.
"These Metros and big cities are the first places for the launch of 5G network services in the country, this year" , the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) said on Monday.
India will soon roll out fifth-generation wireless technology (5G) across the four main metros and select cities before commencing nationwide 5G services. The spectrum allocation will commence ahead of the rollout with the dates yet to be finalized. Private network providers such as Jio, Vodafone-Idea, and Airtel are ready to commence their rollout.
